LOAN OFFICER—CONSUMER & COMMERCIAL LOANS

We’re seeking a people person with a head for figures and a knack for decision making to join our Freedom Bank family as a full-time Loan Officer at our Dale location. As a Loan Officer, you’ll not only perform lending duties to bank customers for consumer, real estate, and commercial loans but represent Freedom Bank within the community. You’ll champion the friendly face of Freedom by developing relationships with realtors, title companies, insurance agents, attorneys, and accountants, as well as supporting and promoting additional businesses.

Our new Loan Officer will join a highly motivated team dedicated to providing superior customer service and making a positive impact in Dale. What to Expect:

The Day-to-Day

  • Perform lending duties to bank customers for Consumer, Real Estate & Commercial loans.
  • Provide financial counseling to customers.
  • Make sound and justifiable credit decisions.

In the Community

  • Develop relationships with realtors, title companies, insurance agents, attorneys, and accountants for referrals.
  • Develop and promote additional business.
  • Cross-sell other products and services offered by Freedom Bank.

Must Haves:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or other related fields; or a high School diploma and 2+ years of lending or related experience.
  • Strong decision-making abilities to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to maintain extensive knowledge of all regulatory, compliance, procedural, and policy information.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Strong leadership, oral communication, negotiation, presentation skills, and ability to write professional correspondence.
  • Professionalism and responsiveness to associates, customers and referral sources.
  • Ability to build a good rapport with associates and customers.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Personal computer skills, including a working knowledge of mortgage application and processing software, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and a prior use or familiarity with using e-mail (Outlook) and the Internet.

Would-Like-to-Haves:

  • Knowledge of ARTA & Mortgagebot software would be beneficial.

PART-TIME TELLERS

We are currently seeking Part-time Tellers for our Huntingburg & Jasper locations.  The work schedules will require approximately 28 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide account services to customers.
  • Process transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, loan payments, and payoffs.    Process    cashier checks,     VISA card advances, advances, IRA deposits.
  • Process night deposits and check orders.
  • Cash handing and reconciling cash drawer.
  • Coin wrapping.
  • Scanning and transmitting transactions.
  • Adhere to security and compliance responsibilities to protect the Bank.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow directions and apply policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Basic math proficiency with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
